Ahvenisto hospital / Ahveniston sairaala ”Assi”
Hämeenlinna, FinlandAhvenisto Hospital, GFA 85 000 m2, is an entirely new Central Hospital with a wide range of special and tertiary functions. It also provides basic care for the inhabitants of the City of Hämeenlinna and its hospital district. Ahvenisto Hospital, also called ”Assi”, provide facilities for intensive care unit, emergency, surgery, paediatrics, gynaecology, labour, radiology and MRI, and patient department. The commission consisted of first finding the best green field location for the hospital complex from urban design point of view. The construction started in 2022 and will be completed in 2026.
