Äänekoski New Healthcare Centre/ Äänekosken uusi terveyskeskussairaala
Äänekoski, FinlandA new 40 bed Healthcare Centre in Äänekoski replaces the old building located on the same building site. The new facilities work as Emergency Healthcare Center for a population of 40 000. Other healthcare activities that will operate in the new building are; occupational health service, advice bureau, dental services as well as psychiatric care and rehabilitation. The depth of the building body is as much as 50 meters which makes the building very efficient in terms of energy consumption. There is a large glazed-roof atrium in the centre of the building. This atrium provides rehabilitation and outdoor activities for the patients of acute – and rehabilitation ward.
